The first prototypes
In the late 1960s, Ehrenreich created the first prototypes for Birdie, Bimble and Bumble. Completely in the spirit of the times, it was strong colors and harmonious, round shapes that characterized the first spring jumping friends. Bimble is the dress-clad female optimist with the smiling eyes, and Bumble is the alert male optimist with open eyes and a small top hat stick on the top of his head. Soon Ehrenreich and his Hoptimists became too familiar with what the small workshop could produce. The rest of that story has today become a Danish design history.
